Good evening, everyone! My Labor Day weekend was awesome, especially today. It was filled with food, fun, fellowship, and family–the 4Fs. I’m thankful to God for his new blessings and mercies. Also if you haven’t seen War Room, you must go. That movie was amazing.
And now, here’s a little something to prepare you for going back to work and/or school. It’s delicious, nutritious, and it will build up your spirit.
This is a time for us to shine like never before. There’s a hope that we have of what comes after this life. We don’t mourn like those who have no hope. We have Jesus Christ who is our hope. We are in the battle and in order to win we must realize that there is conflict. There is a blindness in people that cause them to think there is no problem. From the beginning Satan rebelled and God evicted him along with 1/3 of the angels with him. We must choose a side. We have to be either hot or cold, not lukewarm. To join a side is important. There’s a conflict over the territory of our hearts that Jesus has conquered. All that he needed to do to bring us victory he finished on the cross. Now we must choose to recognize it and believe.
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.”
II Corinthians 10:3-5 NKJV
We are on the winning side. We don’t mourn like those who have no hope. This thing we’re fighting is about the way we think. If you’re not thinking God’s thoughts you’re not going to fight correctly. The weapons we have are not fleshly but are mighty. We must take every thought captive.
