Good evening, everyone! Happy Friday! You’ve made it to the end of another week. Isn’t it wonderful? Soak in these last few days of summer and, as always, thank God for his new blessings and mercies. He is so good to us like a loving father and he knows how to care for his children and give them everything they need.
To kick off this weekend, enjoy a delicious sermon snack courtesy of Mike Petzer. I know you’ll love it.
While we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Despite everything God gave up his only son and he will freely give us all things. Can you trust what he says about you and your sin? He paid for your sin and put you to dead. We are made whole by faith. The answer for everything that has gone wrong is in your heart and your mouth. It is the word of faith. It is as simple as saying yes.
“Because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel, which has come to you, as it has also in all the world, and is bringing forth fruit, as it is also among you since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth;”
Colossians 1:5-6 NKJV
Heavenly realities are conveyed to us. Desire to know him in the power of his resurrection. Heavenly realities have come to us.
God’s not in a hurry. He is not willing that anyone should perish. Don’t history and newspapers determine who God is. Everyone is equally as bad as everyone else. The only difference is who is living in our hearts. Jesus is enough and we don’t need anything extra.
You can’t love the brethren by staying home on Sunday and not serving or getting to know them. We must have a greater love for the church and love them, not wait for them to love us. Abide in the word and love one another. It doesn’t matter what you have occasionally but what you have consistently. You must understand the love that is in you and the freedom that you have.
