Good evening, everyone! How was your weekend? I hope it was blessed and that you were able to get a break from working and rake a much need rest with friends and family. It was an amazing time and I’m thankful God for all He’s done and for supplying amazing blessings and mercies.
Here a delicious morsel to top of the weekend and take into the new week. This is from Pastor Josh’s sermon from last Sunday.
God loves us with a love that never goes away. He is the reason for our hope. There’s no other place worth being than in his arms. His plan is for us and better than what we have planned for ourselves.
“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;”
Ephesians 6:17 NKJV
There’s an enemy of our souls and we must be aware of this. Everything in us wants to win and sometimes we accept failure as our lot, but it doesn’t have to be this way. We must grasp the victory of Jesus Christ. The simple things lead us down parts that we shouldn’t be on. We become afraid to leave those paths because they’re what we’re use to.
The head is where our brain is suppose to be. It has to be protected and we must filter the thoughts that come in. We all need a helmet, something greater than our thinking. Without the helmet we will be taken out. Sometimes the devil disguises himself as an angel of light. Without the helmet we could think things that aren’t suppose to be there. There’s a constant state of conflict on this earth that will continue until the lion lays down with the lamb. There’s an assignment against you so that you don’t get to the next level. It’s a fight, even in the spiritual realm. We have to remind ourselves of the salvation we’ve been saved with so thoughts that aren’t suppose to be in our mind don’t go in. We will be a casualty to ourselves and others if we’re not aware of the battle.
