Good evening, everyone! I hope all of you had a great Christmas. Mine was wonderful. I had to work during the morning. The school I work at has dorms where most of the students live. Not everyone went home for the holidays, and for those that stayed every effort was made to give them an amazing Christmas. In the dorm I was assigned the students opened and played with their gifts. I even got to cook them brunch….and they asked for seconds! It was amazing. Afterwards I spent time with my family opening gifts, eating dinner and dessert, playing songs on my guitar, and watching “Annie”. All in all, it was a great day filled with God’s new blessings and mercies. I’m thankful for what he did that day and for the greatest gift of all: his Son Jesus.
Today I have a recipe for you. Next month my church is having a chili cookoff. I was thinking of how to perfect my recipe from last year and I thought of my first attempt at chili. Years ago when I made chili for the first time, I used a recipe similar to the one Wendy’s uses. Since then I’ve expanded and experimented with different things, but always building on the foundation. I hope you like this recipe as much as I do.
