Good evening, everyone! It’s another glorious day and I’m so thankful to be alive to see it. God is so amazing and he supplied blessing and mercies that I never saw before. Always remember to count those blessings. You’ll be amazed by the God – sightings you’ll discover throughout the day.
Today I have another sermon snack for you. Josh preach an awesome word on Sunday and I think all of you will be blessed by it.
“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.”
Matthew 28:18-20 NKJV
Go and make disciples. We’re all disciples of someone or something. We all tend to follow and form to someone’s approval. We’re all following someone and as a body we should choose to follow Jesus Christ. Crowds are fickle and take whatever is thrown at them. Crowds form when crowds form. It’s only his opinion that carries wait and we must follow him. Are we willing to become the blessing that people need us to be? Crowds want the change but a disciple is willing to become the change. The majority is not always right. We must come to bless others. Jesus came for us to be family again. The time is short and people need to see love instead of hear about it. Stop being the smoke and be the light that shines Jesus. Opinions can change the crowd. We have to be rooted and grounded on something deeper than opinions. Until you know what you’re standing on, you won’t talk about it boldly. The crowd can adapt their own reality and can’t zoom out and see the reality. Unless we unite as the light how can we show Jesus to others?
Jesus will never take away our right to choose. Disciples adjust to the reality of the situation. He wants you to choose a side. When you know who you truly are you aren’t intimidated by those who don’t get it right. When we focus our attention on Jesus we move away from who we use to be. Embrace the change he has put in front of you. Disciples are disciplined learners of the one they’re following. We can’t substitute our obedience to Jesus. We have to press into him.
“You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.”
II Timothy 2:1-4 NKJV
We will be burned out if our strength is from anything other than Jesus. We have to explain what we have inside of us. Disciples are soldiers and if you don’t have the grit for it you won’t last long. Fulfillment comes when you freely receive something and freely give it away.
