Sunday Sermon Snack – Friday : Producing Mature Fruit

Good afternoon, everyone! Did you all enjoy your week? Things have been going very well and I’m glad it’s Friday. This will be an amazing weekend filled with God’s new blessings and mercies. He us so wonderful and worthy of all the praise.

To kick off this weekend, I have a delicious sermon snack. Pastor Josh served up an awesome word and kniw you will enjoy it. Get your plates and Tupperware ready.
“Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity.  But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.”
Luke 8:14‭-‬15 NKJV

Things of this life can choke out the word. We have access to things in this life that no one else has, but they can choke out life in us. We must keep our eyes focused on heaven and the fact that we are part of God’s family. Don’t let the cares of life cause you to loose sight. We must produce and bring things into maturity, not just offspring but things that will bring refreshment to others. Perfect parenting doesn’t produce perfect kids. Entrust your children to God. He has a plan for us and wants us to be rooted and grounded in love. Life can restrict the productivity of our lives. God expects a harvest from what he gives us. We can’t hide from the cares of life. We have to outproduce them. It’s our job to produce a mature harvest that can then reproduce itself. The government is not going to right what’s wrong. Only Jesus can do that. It’s on us. We are to produce life on this planet until Jesus comes back. Bring fruit to maturity so it can reproduce. Some people don’t see the value of their lives and they treat themselves accordingly. Get the message out that there is hope and there is value in each individual. The seed is the word. Hear it from the Lord in your personal time with him. It will show you who you are. We can’t walk through life insulated. Pour out to the community and let your light shine. Some will flee but others will receive it. We have to be ready and start stirring things up. There’s a noble and good heart in us that wants to be part of the solution. Cling to the things you hear.

“Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.”
Hebrews 2:1 NKJV

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”
Hebrews 10:23 NKJV

Hear with your spirit so you won’t drift away. Stay in the current. The past gets so much press these days instead of the future.

“This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil,”
Hebrews 6:19 NKJV

Hold on to the hope and keep what you receive so someone else can know. It’s our responsibility. Families on the earth can be fickle. The family God brings us together.

“Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the Lord.”
Psalms 31:24 NKJV

Pursue this hope with everything you have because there is someone on the other side that needs it. Our hope is anchored in Jesus when we pull on the rope we bring heaven to earth. Jesus will strengthen our heart. He provides the strength. We have to muster the courage and hope and know that his strength is taking us somewhere. Our is the sustenance that the world needs.
