HEAD Meal : Sweet and Spicy Salmon with Stirfry Veggies and Rice

Good evening, everyone! I hope you all enjoyed your Memorial Day Weekend! Summer is upon us, though it’s not official on the calendar. Regardless, I thank God for this day and for his amazing blessings and mercies. He is so wonderful, all together lovely, and worthy of praise.

Today I bring you a HEAD Meal: Sweet and Spicy Salmon with Stirfry Veggies and Rice.

4 Salmon filets
Salt
Cayenne Pepper
Cumin
4 Tsp Honey
1 package of stirfry veggies
1 Tbsp of oil 
1 cup Rice

Cook the rice on the stove with two cups of water at medium high heat. Once it comes to a boil bring it to low heat. To add flavor, I added salt and a little butter (a little something I learned from Mom). Season the salmon with salt, cayenne, and cumin to taste. Drizzle a teaspoon of honey on each filet. Cook the salmon in the stove at 400 degrees for about twenty minutes. Cook the stirfry veggies on the stove with the oil on medium high heat. Season with salt and pepper and cook for about 10 minutes. When you’re ready to plate, start with the rice on the bottom, then the veggies, and the salmon.

This meal is sweet, spice, and savory and has a perfect balance of protein, veggies, and starches.
