Good afternoon, everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying their first day of Summer. I’m so happy for this day. I thank God for all of his new blessings and mercies. He’s wonderful and I give him all the praise.
Today I have a new sermon snack to help you start off this week. It’s notes from another sermon by Andy Elms. You will love it.
“Do not remove the ancient landmark Which your fathers have set.”
Proverbs 22:28 NKJV
“Do not remove the ancient landmark, Nor enter the fields of the fatherless;”
Proverbs 23:10 NKJV
Don’t move boundary stones that shouldn’t be moved, but live by them. We think we’ve found things, but they’re what our forefathers taught. We should be passionate about the things we know. God’s truth changes the world. Boundary stones help people understand where they should walk. Some things of modern Christianity are fun but not when they override foundational truth. There’s been manipulation over the subject of sowing and reaping. It’s not about money but it’s a way of life. The final plan was for people to live in promise. Sowing and reaping is sonething we natural do without realizing it. We create our own harvests.
“While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.”
Genesis 8:22 NKJV
Seed time and harvest is three things. Sowing the seed, the time for the seed, and the time for harvest. What a man sows he will reap.
“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”
Galatians 6:7-8 NKJV
The world understands this more than the church. What goes around comes around. It’s not just agriculture but the field of our life. God wants us to consciously sow and reap in every area of our lives.
“and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:18 NKJV
Money is seed. Words are seed. The words you sow are like seeds. When we realize this we use our words more wisely. Our words can build up or tear down. Prophesy good things over your life. We can’t expect a harvest if you haven’t sown anything. Put seed in the ground. God gave us so much control over our lives but we want to spend so much time blaming him for things that don’t happen. We should all make the decision to stop, start, or continue sowing something. Everything is subject to seed time and harvest. We need a relationship with the offering basket. Reset your harvest and give the seed time. Sow your finances and your time. It’s not the amount of seed but the quality of the seed. If you don’t feel it leave your life, you won’t feel it return. Sow your best seed. Walk through life as a subject of the law of seed and harvest and let it work for you, not against you.
