Good evening, everyone! Happy Friday! I hope you’re enjoying your leftovers and that you stayed safe when you went shopping today. I thank God for this day and his incredible blessings and mercies. He’s so good to us and worthy of all the praise.
I have a delicious sermon snack for you today. Pastor Josh preached an awesome message the Sunday before Veteran’s Day and I know all of you will love it. Don’t forget to share it with someone.
No one is left out. Everyone is available for God’s love. We were conceived and born of an image that is not our own. It’s not because of us but from our Heavenly Father’s plan. We are born of an incorruptible seed. We didn’t birth ourselves. We must be born again of a spiritual seed. God births us to a spiritual hope. Don’t let pride get in the way of this. There’s a spiritual part of us that is eternal. Because of that we will never die. We must believe that in our heart that Jesus is the son of God. There’s a spirtual part of us that was drawn to the light and to truth. God’s desire is for us to love him. He has a purpose for every life that is born. We must love the unlovable and want the unwanted. Focus on what you need in the moment. It doesn’t take a lot, just your faith connected with him. We have to start our journey of faith with God to the beginning.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”
John 1:1-5, 10-14 NKJV
Jesus came and the world didn’t even know him. How must he had felt? Many do not know about this word and have removed it. We can’t deny the authorship of the author that wrote it all. If God is not the author, how can he promise that he will take us to the end? God’s word is full of truth. If we don’t give him his rightful place we have no foundation. God gave us the right to be his children. We don’t need a supreme judge to tell us when to worship. We have that right from God according to scripture.
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
How could we have gotten this wrong today? We did not create ourselves. God is the author of life and that means he had authority. We can’t live our life on our own authority. We won’t get it right and we will be blind leading the blind. We must acknowledge God and what he gave for us. He is our only way out. As we follow Christ we walk in the light.
“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”
1 John 1:7 NKJV
Light rules everything. We must have the faith and patience to see God’s plan fulfilled.
